You could soon renew your Illinois driver's license or your vehicle registration in a much more convenient way -- during a trip to the grocery store. According to a release from Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulious,

The Illinois secretary of state’s office this week said it installed more than a dozen kiosks in supermarkets to give residents an opportunity to renew their driver’s licenses or other state IDs and obtain vehicle stickers while grocery shopping or running errands.

Illinois residents will soon be able to renew their driver’s licenses or obtain vehicle stickers at “Fast-Lane” kiosks located at participating retail stores. According to Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias,

Aiming to expand ease of access for services typically accessed at a DMV, Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias announced the start of a "fast lane" DMV kiosk pilot program at retail stores across the state.
