Workers of Samsung Electronics' Indian unit have decided to end a strike at its factory in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, the company said on Tuesday, bringing to an end a labour protest that continued for more than a month.

Samsung Electronics workers in southern India have ended a month-long strike over pay and working conditions after "welfare measures" were agreed, the state industry minister said Tuesday. Samsung "announced several welfare measures in the interest of the workers", Tamil Nadu state minister T.R.B Rajaa said in a statement.

Samsung management also sought a written statement that workers won't take any ‘confrontational’ approach against the management upon returning to work.
