SINGAPORE: Police in India's financial capital Mumbai have arrested a minor for allegedly posting online bomb threats earlier this week, India's aviation minister said on Wednesday (Oct 16). Indian airlines received a spate of threats to domestic and international flights on their social media pages, all of which have been false alarms.

Akasa Air flight QP 1335, flying from Delhi to Bengaluru on October 16, 2024, and carrying 174 passengers on board, received a security alert on Wednesday.

A Delhi-bound IndiGo aircraft from Mumbai was diverted to Ahmedabad after receiving a bomb threat, which later turned out to be a hoax, officials said on Wednesday. The aircraft was isolated, and all passengers were safely disembarked.
